Arnold Schwarzenegger has undergone emergency open heart surgery during a procedure to replace a catheter valve, US media report.
The Austrian-American film star, 70, developed complications as doctors performed the operation on Thursday.
He is reported to be in a stable condition and recovering at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
In 1997, Schwarzenegger had surgery to repair a defective aortic heart valve at the age of 50.
