Leonard: Bright spot of the Giants heartbreaking loss? The 30-point drought is over! Final takeaways from Week 5

The Giants snapped their NFL-worst streak of 37 games without reaching 30 points on Sunday. They had not done it since Tom Coughlin was head coach, in Week 17 of 2015, when the Giants lost to a Philadelphia Eagles team led by interim head coach Pat Shurmur. The Giants’ streak was the longest since they went 57 straight games between 30-point performances from 1975-79, per the team. They have lost their last three games in which they have scored 30 points or more, though, so as they were reminded on Sunday, 30 points won’t necessarily be enough.
