Investigators raided a Brooklyn home Tuesday as they cracked a gun-running ring, authorities said.
The NYPD and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant on a first-floor apartment on Brooklyn Ave. near Empire Blvd. in Crown Heights about 3:15 p.m. One person was taken into custody and several firearms were found, although an exact tally was not disclosed. Charges were pending.
The feds showed up armed to the teeth, witnesses said.
“They came with automatic weapons,” said one neighbor. “It gives you a shake because you don’t really know what’s going on next door.”
