Hiep Thi Le, a real-life refugee from Vietnam who won praise for her debut role in Oliver Stone’s 1994 Vietnam War drama “Heaven & Earth,” has died at 46.
The actress, who in later life became a successful chef and restaurateur, died Tuesday of complications from stomach cancer, according to Deadline.com.
Le was a small girl when she fled with her sister in the “boat people” migration of 1979.
