Doctor’s office worker gets up to nine years for pilfering $1.5M

A greedy medical office worker was sentenced to up to nine years in prison Thursday for stealing $1.5 million from her former bosses.

Jacqueline Camaro, 59, deposited about 900 checks —meant for late cancer physician Mitchell Gaynor — into her own account between 2007 and 2016.

She also stole $4,700 from cardiologist Mazen Kamen and $400 from oncologist Richard Sollazzo, she admitted in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Camaro previously pleaded guilty to tax fraud and grand larceny in connection to the massive theft from Camaro’s office.

Her sentence was 3-to-9 years behind bars under the terms of her plea deal.
