Bronx man shot to death near junior high school


A 27-year-old man was shot to death in the Bronx early Saturday, cops said.


Angel Perez was shot in the back around the corner from his home outside Junior High School 118, the William W. Niles School, on E. 179th St. and Lafontaine Ave. in Tremont about 1 a.m., police said.


Medics rushed Perez to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died.


Cops were scouring the scene for witnesses and surveillance video. No arrests have been made.
