UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is being sued for allegedly attacking a man at an Anaheim gym.
The plaintiff, Antonio Georgakopoulos, 19, claims Bisping choked him for “taking his weights” without asking while working out, according to TMZ.
Bisping allegedly started off by called Georgakopoulos a “little punk” and “idiot” before the UFC champ grabbed him by the throat and started choking him.
A weightlifter at the gym then intervened to get Bisping off of Georgakopoulos.
After it was broken up, Bisping allegedly yelled: “let’s take this outside.”
Police were called to the scene but Bisping ultimately was not charged with anything.
Georgakopoulos, who is suing for assault, battery and more, said he’s had to seek medical help for his injuries and anxiety that stem from the alleged attack.
UFC has not commented on the incident or if it will affect Bisping’s upcoming middleweight title fight against George St-Pierre.
