Eli Manning got roasted on Thursday by an NFC East rival who doesn’t respect the quarterback’s game.
Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence trolled Manning and the Giants big-time on Twitter Thursday, saying he hopes the team passes on drafting a quarterback and continues to start the immobile 37-year-old.
“Day for a lot of youngsters out there! @NFL Draft day! Here’s to the #Giants NOT drafting a QB #ILikeEli #KeepEli,” Lawrence tweeted, with two photos of Manning tucking the football down as Lawrence sacks the Giants quarterback.
Lawrence, 26, dominated the Cowboys’ 19-3 Week 1 win over the Giants in Dallas last season, with 1.5 sacks, five tackles, two tackles for a loss and two QB hurries. That laid a foundation for his second-team All-Pro nomination by season’s end, and the Cowboys swept the season series.

The Giants will have their chance at revenge for Lawrence’s Twitter slight of the two-time Super Bowl winning QB when the teams next meet on Sunday Night Football in Week 2 in Arlington, Texas. Lawrence, meanwhile, in four seasons has played in just three career playoff games and has never advanced past the divisional round.
