Mighty Quinn: December 15 – NY Daily News

Rosedale’s Michael Schrenzel: “How are you? My pop, Daniel Schrenzel, passed away. He loved Rosedale and Rosedale sports. My pop installed draperies and slipcovers in Manhattan for high-end customers. In early 1980 he was installing drapes for Mark Gastineau and told him that we were diehard Jet fans. Two weeks later a package arrived with jerseys, shirts and 2 tickets to a game with field passes.

“When I was playing football he would always work the chains so he would be close to the field. When playing baseball he would also rush home to watch my games even if only for an inning or two. To the best man I ever knew. Love you, POP. RIP. 92 years young. 11/29/25-12/4/17.”

“Hey, Mighty. The Last Chance Band (aka CK ’68 Alumni band) will be at Toomey’s in Amityville tonight. Any CK alumni from 1968 who drops by, I will buy them a drink. Thanks, Charles (Skip) Cacioppo.”

The Mighty One is in a big hole

Mighty was waiting on South Dakota (-12 1/2) on Thursday and likes South Dakota State on Friday. The deficit is 820 sirignanos.
