Mets’ Zack Wheeler makes one bad pitch and takes the loss after getting slammed by Dodgers’ Cody Bellinger

Wheeler, coming off a strong performance last weekend against the Diamondbacks, pitched well once again on Friday. In seven innings, he allowed only five hits while walking three and striking out seven in a 114-pitch effort. But his four earned runs, all off Bellinger’s bat proved enough to give Wheeler the loss, dropping him to 2-6 on the season. “I thought I did well, the whole game basically,” Wheeler said. “Just that one pitch.”
