Mets will at least let Mickey Callaway start next season as manager: source

It was made more difficult when Sandy Alderson, who hired him, stepped down last month. Alderson was a strong backer of Callaway. John Ricco, one of the triumvirate of executives serving as interims in Alderson’s absence, has publicly supported Callaway. Privately, however, people in Mets’ baseball operations have said they are very aware at how the former Cleveland pitching coach has struggled in his first year managing at any level.
