Mets manager Mickey Callaway hoping Belfast-born P.J. Conlon can catch Reds off guard  

CINCINNATI — The Titanic was being built in Belfast; William Howard Taft was sworn in as president; the Montreal Canadiens, one of the original six, were just being founded, and Babe Ruth had yet to make his major-league debut the last time there was a Belfast-born pitcher on a major-league mound. P.J. Conlon, the Mets lefty called up to make an emergency start Monday night, was the first pitcher born in the Northern Ireland city to start a big league game since 1909.
