Knicks, Troy Williams agree on contract for rest of the season

Troy Williams appears to have made the most of his opportunity.

Williams and the Knicks have agreed on a contract for the rest of the season with partial guarantees for next year as well, according to Yahoo Sports.

The Knicks signed Williams to two 10-day contracts, with his second one ending Monday.

The 23-year-old forward from Indiana is averaging 8.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.13 steals in 13.9 minutes with the Knicks.

Troy Williams will remain with the Knicks.

Williams had his best game with the Knicks on Friday, scoring 18 points on 50% shooting from the field and grabbing 5 rebounds in a 120-112 loss to the Bucks.

Before signing with the Knicks, Williams spent time with the Rockets and Grizzlies. The Rockets released Williams after the team signed Joe Johnson.
