Former President Barack Obama apparently wasn’t only good at basketball.
Jordan Spieth, who is currently the No. 2 golfer in the world, told James Corden on “The Late Late Show” Thursday that he lost to Obama when they played a round of golf together.
According to Spieth, their match came down to the final putt and Obama showed he had ice in his veins by making a tough putt.
“We had a two-on-two match, it came down to the last hole. And the president had a 10-foot double-breaking putt — this is my home course and I’ve never seen anybody make the putt. And a small crowd had gathered like you’d expect,” Spieth said. “He kind of said, ‘When there’s a crowd on the last hole, I never miss.’ He steps up and knocks in … perfect speed, right in the middle of the hole.”
The match between the two took place this week. Spieth said Obama told him about some of the challenges of being president in his eight years while joking the golfer wouldn’t believe what the aliens look like.
Obama was able to beat Spieth despite spending less time on the golf course while president than Donald Trump has since he took office in January.
