Former WFAN host Craig Carton will go trial for fraud in the fall, a judge decided Thursday.
Carton, 49, is accused of swindling investors by offering face-value tickets to performances by artists like Metallica, Adele and Katy Perry. He then promised to resell them at a substantial profit, the feds say.
Carton and his co-defendant, Michael Wright, siphoned some of this money into a “Ponzi-like scheme,” repaying some investors with money funds from other victims, authorities said.
The trial date for the one-time co-host of “The Boomer and Carton Show” was set for Oct. 29 in Manhattan Federal Court.
