Darrelle Revis will get to make his comeback on a familiar field.
The new Chiefs cornerback will get his first start for Kansas City at MetLife Stadium against the Jets next week, according to ESPN.
Revis was supposed to play against the Bills this Sunday, but he did not have “enough time to get ready,” according to the report.
He spent all of the 2016 season with Gang Green, but was cut by the team in the offseason two weeks after getting into an altercation on the streets of Philadelphia.
However, the Jets were expected to cut Revis regardless, due to his salary and low production on the field.
That wrapped up his second stint with the Jets.
Revis was drafted by New York and spent his first six NFL seasons with the team.
“Darrelle Revis is one of the greatest players to ever wear a Jets uniform,” Jets owner Woody Johnson said after Revis was cut in February.
