Capping Lyft and Uber will hurt minority communities: Create a hardship fund instead

One constant throughout my career, from the Chicago Transit Board to my years in government service, has been my firm belief that transportation is a civil right. Put simply, access to reliable and affordable transportation impacts social mobility and improves quality of life for those that need it most. For this reason, I am proud to be part of the Lyft board of directors, and of the progressive values for which Lyft stands.
