Canelo Alvarez hands Gennady Golovkin his first pro loss by razor-thin margin in long-awaited rematch

It was a highly-anticipated rematch, especially because last year’s bout was remembered more for the horrific scoring from one judge, making the final result a draw. If it weren’t for that, there would have been none of the excitement this time around. In the first encounter, it was the Mexican star who finished the fight strong, but this time it was Golovkin who closed out by landing a flurry of hits, even though he took the loss by a narrow margin.
