Aldon Smith is a wanted man after a call alleging the Oakland Raiders linebacker of domestic abuse was made to the San Francisco police.
Police are still searching for Smith, who left the alleged victim with non-life threatening injuries. The Raider fled his home before authorities arrived.
A person called 911 to report a domestic violence incident at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a San Francisco police spokesman said.
Sgt. Michael Andraychak and the police are asking for the public’s help finding him.
Smith. 28, has had numerous legal issues in the past.
The 49ers released him in 2015 after catching a drunken driving charge for the third time in four years.
He has also been arrested for vandalism and illegal possession of assault rifles, among other charges, since the San Francisco 49ers drafted him in 2011 in the first round.
Smith signed with the Raiders in 2015. He participated in nine games for them until the NFL suspended him for substance abuse violations.
He has applied for reinstatement to the NFL, which was initially denied in 2016 and is still pending.
