Numerous celebrities have signed up for a benefit concert to honor the victims of the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
“From Broadway with Love: A Benefit Concert for Parkland, USA” will take place on April 16 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., located about 15 miles away from the shooting scene.
The show will feature musical performances from such stars as Matthew Morrison, Rachel Bloom, Deborah Cox and Wayne Brady.
Some of the songs in the show have been written by Stoneman Douglas students in collaboration with New York theater composers. There will be special performances by Jamie Guttenberg’s dance troupe in honor of her memory. Several students will speak at the event. Performers will be accompanied by the South Florida Symphony.
