Three teens knifed in brawl near Coney Island high school

Rival groups of teens from different schools squared off Tuesday afternoon outside Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, leaving three youths stabbed.

The violence erupted about a block from the Coney Island school at Neptune Ave. and Ocean Parkway on Tuesday just after 2 p.m., officials said.

Three students at James Madison High School suffered injuries in the brawl. An 18-year-old was stabbed in his back and shoulder, a 17-year-old was knifed in his right buttock, and a 15-year-old boy was sliced in the abdomen.

Medics rushed them to Lutheran Medical Center, officials said. All three were expected to survive.

Cops took three other teens into custody. They detained several people for questioning.

Education Department officials said Lincoln HS, William E. Grady HS and Intermediate School 303 were in lockdown as a result of the bloodshed.
