“Student Access to Digital Learning Resources Outside the Classroom”

Home access to digital resources is widespread, but inequities persist based on race, income, family education level, and geography, concludes a long-awaited report from the U.S. Department of Education.

The report, by a team from the American Institutes for Research, finds as of 2015, 94 percent of U.S. children between the ages of 3-18 had a computer at home. That figure was up from 85 percent in 2010. It was also higher for older children and kids whose parents have more education or income.
