The global packaging specialist opts for a unique multi-phase blended learning initiative
London, 16 November 2017 – Huhtamaki, the global specialist in packaging for food and drink has enlisted the services of Business Linked Teams(BLT) to provide a management and leadership training programme across its global workforce.
Huhtamaki approached BLT with the challenge to support the successful development of individuals at management level into more senior roles at the organisation. Following a successful 12-month trial period, the training initiative will be rolled out periodically with members of Huhtamaki’s global management team invited to central locations where the face-to-face elements of the training will take place. Amsterdam and the London area serve as easily reachable training locations for the first training programme’s official roll-out.
The multiple phase training initiative is split into five day programmes and entail executive coaching and virtual elements of online-based training as well as business challenges that will be completed in teams. By the programme’s conclusion, each participant is well equipped to lead his or her team and to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.
“Huhtamaki is facing strong growth in both emerging and developed markets. To support the growth we see consistent and aligned leadership as a core element. We want to bring our people from different segments, functions and backgrounds together to discuss our leadership principles”, says Teija Sarajärvi, SVP HR at Huhtamaki. “This diverse pool of global talent has great potential for strengthening the organisation for many years to come. Our goal is to recognise our people as the true assets that they are and to invest in them, developing their skills and bringing them the opportunity to play a greater role in Huhtamaki’s future.”
“Business Linked Teams has excelled in providing a bespoke training programme that directly addresses our leadership capabilities and helps our leaders to perform well every day. Their capabilities as effective developers of people were quickly proven during the 12-month trial period and we have a rewarding working relationship,” Teija Sarajärvi concludes.
“Business Linked Teams is delighted to have been enlisted by Huhtamaki as a training services provider,” said Samantha Caine, Client Services Director at Business Linked Teams. “Huhtamaki is a purposeful organisation with clear business goals. Our unique approach to leadership development is a great match to strengthen the organisation’s management capabilities as we work together to support Huhtamaki on its growth path.”
